On September 21, 2020, Members of TFP-Texas joined students from Texas A&M University at a large intersection in College Station, Texas for a peaceful Rosary Rally in support of the police. The event was organized by a Catholic Cadet of the University in parallel to the “St. Michael, Protect the Police Rosary Rallies” organized across the country by America Needs Fatima.
Judging by the pleasantly surprised faces of those driving by, the rally was quite the welcome spectacle. Twenty-five Catholics, both young and old, came out despite the looming threat of rain from the fringes of hurricane Beta. Two large thin blue line flags as well as the star and stripes flew gracefully among the crowd. The sound of the bagpipes playing God Bless America gave a note of militancy and patriotism to the event.
The rain held off long enough to pray all three mysteries of the holy Rosary. All participants were happy to hold “honk” signs and engage the oncoming traffic. Nearly 75 percent of those who passed by (mostly university aged) honked in support of the police. Some could be seen leaning out of their windows with their thumbs up and shouting in support. The occasional shout of “f*** the police!” was met with “God bless you!” or “God bless the police!”
Let us pray that God and His Blessed Mother reawaken in the souls of every American the crusader spirit. That our country may return to order and become the crusading nation that God called it to be.
