How God Brought Good out of Evil in Kansas

TFP Call to Chivalry Day

March 28, 2025, was the infamous day. A small group of Satanists held a Black Mass on the Kansas State Capitol grounds. It began with sacrilege, blasphemy, and horror, but Catholics did not let it go uncontested.

A Magnificent Rally

Over five hundred Catholics rallied on the south steps of the Capitol building, proclaiming God as King and Our Lady as Queen. The event ended with the Satanists’ defeat. Their violent leader was arrested for assaulting a man inside the Capitol building. Our Lady’s statue that entered into battle that day, left in triumph.

God Brings Good out of Evil

This evil event provided the occasion for some good actions.  God can bring good out of the worst evil. Thus, when the Tradition, Family, Property (TFP)-Louisiana mini-bus drove up from the South to do spiritual battle for God at the Kansas Capitol, its members stayed the weekend to hold a TFP Call to Chivalry Day near Topeka.

Not only did these warriors for God defend Him in the public square, but they also prepared young men and boys to have the courage to continue God’s Crusade in the future. That is why TFP-Louisiana holds Chivalry programs throughout the year. These programs give teenage boys the necessary knowledge and zeal to be Our Lord’s shields in the days to come.

Thus March 29, 2025, saw over 40 boys attend the Call to Chivalry Day on a TFP supporter’s farm in Kansas.

After donning large, medieval-style scapulars, the boys charged up the hill to begin a day of games, informative talks and prayers.

Foam-Sword Wars

The most popular game was the foam-sword wars. Capture the flag with swords was also a favorite. Instead of pulling flags, the combatants must battle it out with foam-swords and the unfortunate loser goes to jail until freed by his companions.

Another game is called the Ring of Steel, where all form a big ring while holding onto each other’s swords. On command, all immediately let go of the swords and begin a melee. With Chivalry always in mind, they battle it out to the end until only one is left as the victor.

If You Want Peace, Prepare for War

The group then heard a most relevant talk. Mr. Ben Broussard, a TFP member, gave his talk on Our Lady Queen of Peace with the subtitle, “If you want peace, prepare for war!”

He explained how peace is a widely used and generally misused term. Everybody clamors for peace, but how many can define it? One popular Church definition is that peace is the tranquility of order. Peace is not coexistence or getting along with everybody without confrontation. True peace can only be found in the tranquility of order, which can only come in a virtuous society that defends order.

Thus, he explained that the prudent man does not build his castle and store up for bad times on the eve of battle but instead uses times of peace to prepare. When evil times come, the good are then ready.

This lesson applies to all aspects of life, whether it be personal, social or spiritual. Better to build up defenses early and often, so that the devil’s works are ineffective and more easily defeated.

Rosary Procession to End the Day

After more games and an excellent lunch, the day wound down with a solemn Rosary procession. Our Lady gave the Rosary to the faithful as a weapon against evil. It proved to be effective at Lepanto in 1571 and continues to be effective today.

Thus, no group of young men that strives for virtue in defense of God’s cause, can go a day without praying the Rosary. The column of young men, two by two, marched slowly through Kansas fields proclaiming Our Lady’s prayer out loud. It was a glorious way to end the day.
