In light of the Synod on Synodality and the Vatican document Fiducia Supplicans, concerned Catholics from all over the Houston area gathered on October 16 for a special talk to better understand and oppose the subversion of the homosexual agenda inside the Church.
Tradition, Family and Property-Texas (TFP) and America Needs Fatima sponsored the event at the downtown Milford House, which included a book signing and reception.
Senior French TFP Member José António Ureta, co-author of the book The Breached Dam: The Fiducia Supplicans Surrender to the Homosexual Movement, delivered the talk “The Devil’s Final Battle Over Marriage and Family: Can the Church Surrender to the Homosexual Movement?”
Mr. Ureta and his Italian TFP co-author Julio Loredo de Izcue put together a hard-hitting work of just over one hundred pages that documents the gradual process of how the homosexual movement “subverted the Church with homoheresy.” It sadly relates to the efforts of Church officials to introduce the normalization of homosexual sin. However, it also outlines the more recent documents and declarations of other officials affirming the perennial teachings of the Church.
After its May 27 publication, with copies in eight languages, the work was sent to all the world’s bishops. In the United States, the book was mailed to all the cardinals, bishops, priests, deacons and lay brothers, making a total of 41,000 copies sent.
Mr. Ureta’s talk provided excellent insights into the proposals being discussed at the Synod.
Fiducia supplicans: A Surrender to the Homosexual Movement
Mr. Ureta explained how the document Fiducia Supplicans legitimized the blessings of “irregular” couples and homosexual couples. Mr. Ureta unmasked the five main fallacies of Fiducia Supplicans and how they constitute a surrender to the homosexual movement.
“The document insinuates that what the homosexual pair is asking for is only that the ‘positive’ aspects of their union be blessed. However, in a relationship that claims to be conjugal, the different aspects of the pair’s life cannot be separated into watertight compartments, some positive and others negative,” stated the speaker.
Mr. Ureta continued, “In reality, even what some might consider positive elements (e.g., affection, fidelity, and mutual support) contribute to maintaining the sinful relationship and hinder conversion. The more ‘positive’ such aspects appear to be, the more they constitute near occasions of sin, if not the very foundation for the structure of sin ensnaring these two individuals.”
Fiducia Supplicans represents a break with the Church’s traditional teaching on the Sixth Commandment, the intrinsically sinful nature of any use of the sexual faculties outside marriage, and the scandal that premarital, adulterous, and homosexual relationships and unions represent to the faithful and society.
“The evening was magnificent. Mr. Jose Antonio Ureta spoke so clearly regarding the crisis in the Church, and I was happy to see that there were around 100 people at the talk,” commented Elvia Leyva, one of the attendees.
The speaker asserted the right of the faithful to resist teachings contrary to those of the Supreme Magisterium of the Catholic Church, while not revolting against the authorities spreading them. Indeed, the book arms concerned clergy and laity alike with the doctrinal insight and facts necessary to defend the immutable Catholic teaching against those seeking to change it.
Mr. Ureta ended his talk with a few words of encouragement and hope: “We must keep fighting this final battle over marriage and family, knowing that Our Lady has already crushed the head of Satan and guaranteed us victory.”
