Cajuns Want the Ten Commandments: Strong Support in Acadiana after Louisiana Law Passes

Under threat of heavy rainfall and severe thunderstorms, Tradition, Family, Property—Louisiana (TFPLA) continued its southern caravan in defense of the Ten Commandments. On July 22, the TFPLA volunteers pressed forward and took to the streets of Biloxi, Mississippi. Thumbs up and enthusiastic honks filled the air.

Later that same day, the caravan of activists traversed back to the State of Louisiana, where the freshly passed bill enshrining the Ten Commandments in public schools and buildings is still the topic of intense debate.

Acadiana Supports the Ten Commandments

With much training, TFPLA volunteers in the South have practiced setting up their banner, TFP standard, and signs. They are ready to go in a swift 22 seconds.

In Lafayette, Louisiana, the instant the honk signs were made visible, the locals began laying on their horns. It was apparent from the smiles on people’s faces that the Ten Commandments are respected and wanted in Acadiana. The caravan also was able to present the public with the TFP’s new flier giving ten reasons why America needs the Ten Commandments. One young man even got out of his car and ran across the street through traffic to grab one.

While Cajuns positively support the Ten Commandments, some expressed their hatred, going as far as throwing a can of sparkling water at one of our young volunteers.

TFP Campaign as a Beacon of Hope

The campaign also stopped at Lake Charles, Louisiana. A woman, when offered a flier, had thought that the Ten Commandments were banned from the schools, but let out a sigh of relief when she found out the contrary.

One man with many tattoos, honked and waved in support from his car. A few moments later, he walked up and expressed how happy he was to see the TFP. He mentioned that he watched the TFP Student Action videos and wanted to thank the members in person.

He mentioned how this country started to go downhill with the passing of same-sex “marriage” under Obama, and agreed with TFPLA President Thomas Drake about the need for America’s moral conversion.

Next Battleground: The Great State of Texas

Louisiana’s Ten Commandments Law is motivating other states like Texas to enact similar laws. That’s why the next stop of the TFPLA’s southern caravan will seek to bolster support and encourage Texans to rise to the occasion, upholding and honoring God’s law publicly.
